Returns Policy

We want you to feel confident about shopping with the England Cricket Board store. You can return unwanted items within 14 days for a refund or replacement (exclusions apply), as long as they are in an unused, saleable condition and in their original, undamaged packaging. In the case of faulty or damaged goods you have 30 days from date of receipt to return goods for a refund or exchange.

How to Return Goods

We are currently undertaking a major upgrade of our automated Returns System. In the meantime please follow the instructions below to Return Goods,

  1. Print and complete the Returns Form (downloaded via the button below)
  2. Carefully and securely repackage your returning items and Returns Form (in line with our Returns Packaging Guidelines)
  3. Take your parcel with Returns Form enclosed to your nearest Post Office.
  4. Choose a suitable method of postage, i.e. Recorded or Registered (you are advised to take out suitable insurance for the goods you are returning).
  5. Retain your Proof of Postage in case the parcel is lost in transit.

Note - Unless you are returning faulty goods we are unable to reimburse any postage incurred for this option. If you have cancelled your order and need to return the goods, please see the Your Right To Cancel section below.

How to Exchange Goods

To exchange a product simply detail this on your Returns Form in the preferred course of action section, detailing the product reference code, size and colour (where relevant) that you would like to exchange your goods for. Then simply follow the process outlined in the How To Return Goods section above.

If an exchange item you have requested is not in stock we contact you to see if there is an alternative or if you would just prefer a refund.

Further Guidance & Notes

If a consumer forfeits their right to return goods by virtue of the Distance Selling Regulations i.e. by damaging or using the product we may still accept the goods back and offer a partial refund.

We reserve the right to withhold a percentage of the refund value of the goods if the product or packaging is in such a condition that the product needs to be reduced in price for resale!

Please note that with the exception of faulty merchandise, and taking into account your statutory rights, we cannot exchange or accept the return of certain products:

  • Under garments including, baselayers, sports bras, jock straps and athletic supports if they appear visibly worn/used in any way;
  • Garments with any form of embellishment (e.g. printing, embossing, engraving or embroidery);
  • Goods made to your specification;
  • CD,DVD or other recording media if their seal is broken;
  • Publications and Journals, such as magazines etc.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Any manufacturers Warranty offered is in addition to the legal rights a consumer already has under the Sale of Goods Act 1979.

Your Right To Cancel

At the England Cricket Board store we want you to be delighted every time you shop with us. Occasionally though, we know you may want to return items. To read more about our Returns Policy please see section above.

Under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any of these items within a period of 7 working days, beginning with the day after the day on which the item is delivered. This applies to all our products. To cancel your order please Contact Us. Please note that with the exception of faulty merchandise, and taking into account your statutory rights, we cannot exchange or accept the return of certain products:

  • Under garments including, baselayers, sports bras, jock straps and athletic supports if they appear visibly worn/used in any way;

Once you have cancelled your contract, please pack the relevant item securely, enclose your Returns Form and send the item(s) back to us as soon as possible. For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded delivery service. Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is faulty. If we do not receive the item back from you with the Returns Form, we may arrange for collection of the item from your residence at your cost.

As soon as we receive notice of your cancellation of this order, we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that order as soon as possible, and in any case within 30 days after we receive your notification.

FAULTY / DEFECTIVE GOODS

If the product has been used for its intended purpose and the manufacturers recommended cleaning instructions have been followed, any fault will generally appear within the first three months after purchase. For this reason, you may return any faulty item up to three months after the date of purchase. Products will be professionally inspected and where necessary passed onto the manufacturer before a judgement is made.

If the damage to the product is deemed accidental or natural wear and tear then the item will be returned to the customer. If the inspection reveals any fault of the manufacturer then you will be offered an exchange or full refund. If a product is deemed faulty, we will also reimburse you with reasonable postage costs should a receipt be included.

In certain circumstances, providing the product does not show excessive wear or neglect, a product may still be deemed defective three months after purchase. In this instance you may return the product for a thorough inspection. Such items may take longer to inspect as communication with the manufacturer may be required. Unfortunately, after this period of time, any products that are sent back to us for an inspection are done so at the customers own risk. We can not guarantee to be able to offer any refund or replacement on products returned to us after this period of time.

We evaluate each returned faulty product professionally and as quickly as possible with an aim to keep every customer satisfied with the highest level of customer service possible. Please note, all faulty items must be clean, dry and free from dirt and mud and we reserve the right to refuse to inspect any item if they are deemed to be too dirty or wet.
